Behind the scenes: Sonic Commercial

We get lots of requests to know more about how the process of getting cast works- who gets cast and what it is like on set. This blog both gives you some peeks behind the scenes, as well as shows readers how to improve their chances of getting cast in the next commercial, TV show, or feature film.

Today’s pictures tell the story of our recent shoot for Sonic in Los Angeles. We did a great football-themed commercial for them. They seemed to like our work, and we loved working with them! What I like about these pictures is they show how we cast both new people and those that we have used in the past, top-level athletes for the field and all shapes and sizes for the sideline personnel, local talent and some who flew in. In other words, this shows that getting cast is really open to anyone who is a subscriber to Sports Studio Casting. There are just different needs, looks, and talent requirements for each job. No matter your look and skillset, there will likely be a job for members of sports studio casting at some point. So, keep submitting and keep checking the site regularly.

Sports Studio Casting, Manager

A few of our on-field players: Brandon, Sandy, Gerald, and Omar. They filmed one play over and over and over again! They did a great job.

Real referees! Mike worked with us on The Longest Yard a few years ago. But he just recently signed up at Sports Studio Casting and was cast for the Sonic commercial!

Michael and Nick are talented actors and proof that you don’t have to be a 6’5 280lbs professional football player to work on a Sports Studio project! They did a great job as ball boys on the sideline.

Tim Crowley traveled in from Austin, Texas, to be a part of this Sonic commercial! He recently wrapped filming on Friday Night Lights, where he plays “Coach Crowley”
